Back in 2014, when I first met the lodge owners, Mhondoro’s dedication to extraordinary innovation was immediately clear. Their steadfast commitment to staff welfare during the 2020 pandemic left a lasting impression, while their pioneering investment in solar power perfectly aligned with our shared values. Continually evolving, the lodge has most recently partnered with Luke Dale Roberts to introduce a safari-first—organic food preparation in the heart of the African wilderness.

Leveraging 11 years of data and close collaboration with Mhondoro’s management, we crafted a dynamic strategy to ensure continued success. Our efforts celebrate the continuous enhancement of guest experiences, while reinforcing conservation and skills development, positioning Mhondoro as a pioneering safari destination within this African biosphere.

Hosting the FGASA Safari Guide of the Year competition at Mhondoro marked a significant milestone, with the lodge continuing to take immense pride in being the first to host this prestigious event in the region.
